What are Disbursements?
Disbursements are any incidental costs incurred on your behalf. Example of these include: postage/courier fees, court application fees, home office/visa application fees, translation/interpreting services, health surcharge fees. Please note that this not is an extensive list of the types of disbursements and only a general indicator of additional costs that may be required.
For each immigration application, the main disbursement that arises is payment of the UK Visas and Immigration fees. Please note the exact fee depends on the application made. A list of the UK Visas and Immigration fees for each application can be found by clicking the link below:

Any of such costs are paid separately and in addition to our fees.
Kayson Solicitors will not undertake any work on your behalf prior you understanding likely costs involved.
Basis of Costs
The above-stated costs are estimates based on an average solicitor’s hourly rate of £250+VAT. They have been calculated based on the service individually and roughly how many hours that service may take.
Due to the large range of complexity in immigration cases, we are unable to provide fixed fees. However, upon consideration of the complexity of your case, your case handler will be able to provide you with a more accurate and quote. Do not hesitate to contact us to receive yours today.
Process
Having formally instructed us to act for you in your immigration matters, we will arrange a meeting to obtain your initial instructions.
After having obtained your instructions, we will advise you on which application should be made and what information and supporting documents will be required.
Once we are in receipt of the above-mentioned information and supporting documents, we will draft the application on your behalf and send this to you for your approval.
We will then make any amendments necessary before finalising the document and you agree to its contents.
Once approved, we will lodge your application with the Home Office together with the applicable Home Office/Visa application fee and any health surcharge fees, if applicable.
Please note this process takes roughly between 6 months and 24 months start to finish, depending on whether the Home Office requires any further information/documentation to support your application.
